Run for Nurses May 12

The Wenatchee Valley College Student Nurses of Wenatchee (SNOW) club is holding the fourth annual 5K Run/Walk for Nurses fundraiser at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, at the Apple Capitol Loop Trail.

The event is open to the public. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Walla Walla Point Park shelter number one. The run/walk begins at 9 a.m. and heads south to the Pipeline Bridge before looping back to the park. Racing brackets include male and female divisions for ages 12 and younger, 13 to 18, 19 to 30, 31 to 40, 41 to 50, 51 to 60 and over 60.

Registration is $25 for the general public, $20 for nursing students, and includes a custom t-shirt for participants who register online.

The 5K Run for Nurses event is being held in conjunction with National Nurses Week May 7 to 13, 2012. All proceeds will benefit WVC nursing students in assisting with exam fees, test preparation course fees, and graduation ceremonies.
